Food is Our Medicine for Nourish

In 2021, I was approached by RallyRally to collaborate on a visual identity for the Food is Our Medicine campaign and learning journey. The project introduces health care professionals and leaders to innovative perspectives on the intricate connections between Indigenous foodways, reconciliation, healing, and health care. The Learning Journey aims to deepen participants’ understanding of history, food, land, and self. It offers opportunities to explore (de)colonization, Indigenous perspectives, cultures, and foodways, while providing actionable steps to honor Indigenous worldviews in health care. The final identity showcases the diversity of traditional foods and Indigenous foodways in Canada, encourages personal reflection, and emphasizes the principle that Food is Our Medicine.
